The Pressure vessel tolerance were made based on the dimensional change which will effect Integrity of the vessel. Example Out of roundness of shell UG-80, Tolerance for Formed Heads UG-81, Other Tolerance as per UG-16 of ASME Sec VIII div-1,

Go through UG-99 of ASME Sec VIII div 1,Gage selection as per UG-102, If your conducting test for vessel 1.1 times MAWP multiplied by LSR (see the code). If you are conducting the test for RF pads normally conducted at low pressure 1 bar or less to ensure weld tightness that seal off the inside of vessel. Refer UG-37 of ASME Sec VIII div-1 2013 edition. It has been removed in 2015 code.]]></description>
